April brings a range of grant opportunities for Black-owned businesses. We’ve compiled a list of support available this month—from microgrants and competitive awards to funding programs designed to advance Black entrepreneurs. Below are grants, pitch opportunities, and funding programs Black-owned businesses can apply for in April 2026. Be sure to review each opportunity’s requirements and deadlines. Starting in no particular order:


1. Shophand Small Business Boost Grant

Funding to support operational improvements and technology upgrades.


Deadline: April 1, 2026

Amount: $5,000

Audience: Small businesses (all industries)





2. Breva Thrive Grant

Funding to support small businesses making a measurable impact in their communities.


Deadline: Applications open April 1, 2026 (Q2 cycle)

Amount: $5,000

Audience: Audience: U.S.-based small businesses with revenue and community impact



3. Amber Grant

Funding to support women-owned businesses with monthly and annual awards.


Deadline:April 30, 2026 (recurring)

Amount: $10,000 monthly + $25,000 annual bonus

Audience: Women-owned businesses in the U.S. and Canada



4. Faire Small Business Grant

Funding to help new retail businesses purchase inventory and launch or grow.


Deadline:  June 30, 2026

Amount: $5,000

Audience: New or early-stage retail business owners



5. Skip's $10,000 Spring Grant

Unrestricted funding for small businesses making a meaningful impact in their communities.


Deadline: April 17, 2026

Amount: $10,000

Audience: All U.S.-based entrepreneurs and small business owners, age 18+




6. Galaxy of Stars

A non-profit aim to help minority and women entrepreneurs succeed.


Deadline: Apr 30, 2026

Amount: $3500

Audience: a U.S.-based woman or minority-owned business



7. Famous Amos Ingredients for Success Grant

An annual grant & mentorship program from Famous Amos in partnership with the U.S. Black Chambers, Inc.


Deadline: June 1, 2026

Amount: $50,000

Audience: Black-owned early stage businesses



8. Skip Instant 1k Grant

Join the event for a chance to win $1,000 and engage with the Skip community.

Deadline: April 7, 2026

Amount: $1,000

Audience: Must be a U.S.-based entrepreneur, age 18+.




9. National Association for the Self-Employed Growth Grants

Funding to support business development needs like marketing, equipment, and expansion.


Deadline: Rolling (awarded monthly)

Amount: Up to $4,000

Audience: NASE members (small business owners & entrepreneurs)



10. YippityDoo Big Idea Grant

Micro-grant to help launch or grow entrepreneurial ideas.


Deadline: April 31, 2026

Amount: $1,000

Audience: New or early-stage small businesses.




11. Hustler’s MicroGrant

Provides $1,000 to small business owners and entrepreneurs as a recurring microgrant opportunity to support growth and operations. Applications are accepted on a monthly basis (rolling deadline).


Deadline: April 31 at 11:59 pm

Amount: $1,000

Audience: U.S.‑based small business owners / entrepreneurs of all industries.




12. IFundWomen Universal Grant

Funding opportunities for women-owned businesses through brand partnerships and ongoing grants.


Deadline:  Rolling (new grants added regularly)

Amount:  $5,000+

Audience: Women-owned businesses



13. Constellation Fund Grant

For organizations working to reduce poverty and improve lives


Deadline: April 30, 2026

Amount: $5,000 (25 awards)

Audience: Social impact organizations




14. L.O.C.A.L. Small Business Grant Program

Expand outreach and ensure opportunity reaches every corner of Long Island’s business community.


Deadline: April 3, 2026

Amount:Up to $20,000

Audience: Black owned & Latino owned small businesses



15. The Coramino Fund

a nationwide small business grant program to support entrepreneurs in under-resourced communities.


Deadline: April 6, 2026

Amount: $10,000

Audience: Entrepreneurs in under-resourced communities. 




16. Wish Local Empowerment Program

Micro-grants to support Black-owned brick-and-mortar businesses. Awards help with inventory, marketing, or operational expenses.


Deadline: Rolling (applications accepted through March 2026)

Amount: $500–$2,000

Audience: U.S. Black-owned physical storefronts with < 20 employees and <$1 M revenue.



17. HerRise MicroGrant

Monthly micro-grant supporting women of color owners — including Black women — with operational costs, marketing, or startup needs.


Deadline: April 31, 2026 (monthly cycle)

Amount: $1,000

Audience: Black women and women of color small business owners in the U.S.




18. The Building Her Community Grant

Grant for Women History Month


Deadline: April 10, 2026

Amount: $5,000

Audience: for women founders, freelancers, and business owners 


19. Maker's Mindset

Help ambitious entrepreneurs turn vision into momentum.


Deadline: March 15, 2026

Amount: $30,000

Audience: Women-led consumer brands



20. Amber Grants

Monthly grant for entrepreneurs (especially women founders). Funds can be used for business growth, marketing, staffing, or other operational costs.


Deadline: April 31, 2026 (last day of month)*

Amount: $10,000 (monthly) + eligibility for larger annual awards

Audience: U.S. & Canadian entrepreneurs and small business owners (women-owned primary focus, but many use it broadly).



21. Freed Fellowship

The Freed Fellowship helps small business owners get the feedback they need to build successful companies that make an impact.


Deadline: Rolling (Monthly)

Amount: $500

Audience: Small business owners & BIPOC entrepreneurs




23. Black Women in Food Summit Pitch Competition

Provides an opportunity for Black women food entrepreneurs to compete for cash awards and visibility as part of the Black Women in Food Summit — including a pitch competition with funding prizes.


Deadline: Pitch applications coming soon (early 2026)

Amount:~$15,000 total awards (past totals)

Audience:Black women founders in the food industry at the Summit’s pitch competition.




25. Atlanta’s Top Perfumer Pitch Competition

Live fragrance competition where participants blend and pitch their own signature scent.


Date: April 26, 2026

Amount: $500

Audience: Entrepreneurs and creatives in perfumery; open participation.


26. Neurodiverse Entrepreneur Program

The Neurodiverse Entrepreneur Program increases business leadership opportunites for people with developmental and/or cognitive diffrences such as autism, dyslexia, learning disabilities, ADD/ADHD, and other related diagnoses.


Deadline:April 16, 2026

Amount: $19,000

Audience: Founders & Business owners with ADHD/ADD and other related diagnoses


27. NAACP x L’Oréal Inclusive Beauty Fund

12 grants of $25,000 each to beauty businesses and entrepreneurs across the United States–including extension artists, braiders, aestheticians, barbers, salon owners, suite owners, students, and stylists.


Deadline: April 23, 2026

Amount: $25,000

Audience: Beauty businesses and entrepeneurs



28. Enthuse Foundation Grant Program

Supporting entrepreneurs facing essentials business challenges

29. O'Shaughnessy Fellowship

For the next generation of builders, researchers, and creatives, like you, who will advance civilization.
